Calw - Small town gem in Baden-Württemberg
Charming with a small-town flair and beautiful half-timbered buildings, it invites you Calw Take a short break. Discover the city from the central bus station (ZOB). From here, you can reach the market square in five minutes and also find yourself directly at the entrance to the newly landscaped city park with its panoramic walkway. From here, you can enjoy views over the city, the Lange (a former prison tower), and the imposing city church. Whether you explore the premium Water, Forest, and Meadow Trail, visit the Tannery Museum, or relax in one of the street cafés – enjoy your time and embrace a slower pace!
TIP: By the way, since the beginning of February you can easily travel from Stuttgart using the Hermann Hesse Railway!
Calw- Wimberg, the district with pig
From Calw It's only a 10-minute walk to the village of Wimberg. Get off at the Wimberg-Lauber stop and stroll through the village towards the forest. There you'll find the wild boar enclosure with a viewing platform that leads over the enclosure. Observe the magnificent wild boars and their offspring in springtime, and then hike through this beautiful natural setting. Explore the wooden sculpture trail around the enclosure, and then enjoy a relaxing walk back to... Calw.
Calw - Altburg - where great explorers made history
You get off at the Lamm stop in the hilltop village CalwStart your journey of discovery in Altburg, following in the footsteps of the astronomer Johann Gottlieb von Bohnenberger. The circular route, marked by informative panels, guides you through the town. The highlight is the Bohnenberger Showroom in the small town hall. Please register in advance.
Those who are interested can embark on a hike along the monastery trail, which leads through the picturesque Schweinbach valley. Although you can hear the main road along the way, the path with its stone bridge and the mossy, rocky trail, once used by monks of the Peter and Paul Monastery, is definitely worth the hike.
Oberreichenbach - village culture and moorland experience
At the Hirsch stop, you get off the X63 bus and find yourself in the heart of the municipality of Oberreichenbach. From here, you have the option of embarking on two hikes. You can hike into the picturesque Schweinbach Valley to Hirsau. Or you can turn your attention to a small but beautiful moor. From Oberreichenbach, you initially hike along narrow paved paths and then reach the Würzbacher Moor.
TIP: Every Sunday, Café Heimkehr in Oberreichenbach, near the town hall, opens its doors with vegan delicacies. In spring and summer, there is also a terrace.
Calmbach Park
You get off at the Calmbach-Parkanlage stop. Calmbach is known for its forest swimming pool with a historic changing area and clear, fresh water, offering views of the woods. Beautiful, spacious sunbathing lawns await you there. The Zordel trout farm is also located in Calmbach. To get there, you'll have to walk a good distance along the road, but you'll be rewarded with freshly caught trout and an idyllic setting.

Bad Wildbad - royal and wild at the same time
You get off at the station! In Bad Wildbad You have a big challenge ahead of you. You have to choose one of the fantastic options that await you here. Will you stay in town and explore the magnificent and unique spa park with its English church, Moorish pavilion, and café, or will you take the Sommerbergbahn cable car up to the treetop walkway with its adventure forest, or the Wildline suspension bridge? The Palais Thermal spa is also a great option. Here, you can plan your getaway in a Moorish-modern setting and enjoy the warm, soothing thermal waters that will truly relax you!
TIP: There are also many great places to stop for refreshments waiting to be discovered here.
Höfen - Village charm on the Enz river
You get off at the town hall in Höfen and can then hike the "Around Höfen" circular trail. The trail is seven kilometers long and takes you all the way around the town. On warm summer days, you can cool off afterwards in the small outdoor swimming pool. There's also a nice play area, especially for families with young children.
Eyach Bridge
At the Eyach bridge, you can leave the X63 trail and walk along the paved road to the Zordel fish farm, one of the oldest fish farms in the Northern Black Forest. Here you can enjoy freshly caught trout in the beer garden and have the opportunity to hike further in the Eyach Valley.
Dobel - our sunny island with the best air
Welcome to the sunny island DobelA hilltop village with invigorating air and countless opportunities for a leisure trip, accessible by the X63 bus line. From here, you can embark on your hiking adventure on the quality trail "Into the Valley of the Lehmanns." This nearly 13-kilometer circular route leads past the Eyachmühle, a Slow Food restaurant where you can enjoy a relaxing break with healthy food. Nearby, you'll find a swinging tree tent – perhaps you'll even spend the night there and hike back down the next day. DobelOther hiking options, such as the Geo-Tour specifically for families, or the local history adventure trail and the European circular hiking trail, offer further beautiful opportunities to visit the hilltop village a second or third time.
Bad Herrenalb - culture, adrenaline or water fun
You get off the X63 bus at the Kurhaus (spa building) and you're right in the heart of it all. From here, you can take a leisurely stroll through the spa gardens or visit the monastery with its famous pine tree. If you're looking for a sporting challenge, the Falkenstein climbing crag is the place to be. In summer, the beautiful forest swimming pool beckons, nestled in nature. And if you love healthy mineral water and saunas, you're warmly invited to the Siebentäler Therme (seven valleys thermal baths), which reopens at the end of 2026.
Families will also enjoy the beautiful wildlife enclosure in the DobelThe valley is worth a trip.
