Sustainable travel in the Northern Black Forest
Those who go on vacation want to experience nature, breathe deeply, and recharge their batteries. At the same time, many guests are increasingly aware of the impact travel has on the climate and environment. As a sustainable tourism region in the Black Forest, we want to take responsibility and offer our guests guidance – transparent, understandable, and practical.
Our new CO₂ calculator makes it clear how your trip impacts your personal carbon footprint. A large portion of emissions is generated during travel to and from your destination. But accommodation, local transportation, and leisure activities also play a role. The calculator helps you better understand your travel choices and consciously discover more sustainable alternatives.
