The old fire station stands in the middle of Stammheim, adjacent to the beautiful Stammheim town hall.

Since the fire department moved to its new quarters in 2019, the building stood empty. The residents of Stammheim wanted a vibrant town center – and the old fire station is the perfect place for that! Therefore, the association had the idea of ​​converting it into a café and meeting place in Stammheim. In addition to a volunteer-run, inclusive café, cultural events such as concerts and readings will take place here, and club celebrations as well as private parties would be possible.

The concept is based on the idea that diversity, as well as the different abilities and talents of people, represent an essential source of our social prosperity, and that this richness can only fully unfold through interaction and collaboration. The foundation of this collaboration is mutual respect and appreciation, as well as sustainable economic practices, justice, and social responsibility. These principles guide the actions of the association and all activities at the Old Fire Station. The association aims to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in the center of Stammheim.
