Action days “Clean Landscape 2025” – Environmental heroes in the district Calw Clean up!
On the action days of AWG and the Tourism GmbH Northern Black Forest on April 4th and 5th, environmental heroes want to rid the forest of unwanted forest inhabitants before the start of the outdoor season.
The "Clean Landscape" campaign of AWG Waste Management District Calw GmbH is present in many municipalities in the district Calw A fixed date in the annual calendar. Following the successful collaboration of recent years between AWG and the Northern Black Forest Tourism GmbH, the region's tourist information offices are once again seeking environmental heroes this year to rid the forest of unwanted forest inhabitants before the start of the "outdoor season".
During the "Clean Landscape" action days on April 4th and 5th, clubs, schools, kindergartens, and many other dedicated environmental heroes will work to rid the beautiful and valuable natural environment of the Northern Black Forest of litter. The region's tourism industry will also contribute to eliminating trash from hiking trails, roads, and urban areas.
Looking ahead to the upcoming hiking and cycling season, and based on past experience, tourism officials know that the region will once again attract numerous hikers, nature lovers, and day-trippers.
“Our natural environment is both the reason why many guests and visitors come to our region and its strongest ambassador for our tourism region. That's precisely why we, as tourism officials, bear a special responsibility for the responsible treatment of nature. This includes informing and raising awareness among our guests and forest visitors, and placing great emphasis on rules of conduct in nature. This applies particularly to protected areas,” explains René Skiba, Managing Director of the Northern Black Forest Tourism GmbH. Together with the region's tourism professionals, they want to lead by example.
With the "Clean Landscape" action days on April 4th and 5th, tourism professionals, together with stakeholders from towns and municipalities, aim to make a concrete contribution, which is why many are leading by example and pitching in themselves. Thanks to the support of AWG Abfallwirtschaft Landkreis (AWG Waste Management District). Calw All participants and supporters who contact the municipalities in the district will receive a GmbH (limited liability company) Calw They have registered, work gloves and garbage bags.
The collected waste is gathered or delivered to agreed locations, and AWG ensures its disposal and maximum recycling.
Another large-scale cleanup project is the "Black Forest CleanUP Days" from April 25th to May 4th, 2025. Participants coordinate their own efforts by forming a team and choosing the date and route of their tour. This information is then entered into the CleanUP map during registration . Distribution points are located throughout the Black Forest. Municipalities, tourist information offices, service providers, and accommodation providers can register as distribution points.
Each participant in the CleanUP Days receives a free CleanUP kit, consisting of a reusable garbage bag (fabric bag) and a high-quality stainless steel tong.
