Far more than just a honey supplier
When things are buzzing, humming, and blooming, then animals, flowers, and we humans are happy!
And for that to happen, we need the help of small, striped creatures: bees. Did you know how much flight activity goes into just one 500g jar of honey? To fill that jar, bees fly a distance equivalent to three times around the Earth, pollinating up to seven million flowers in the process! A gigantic feat that makes the term "busy bee" an understatement!
Flowering meadows are a beautiful sight and, as a habitat for many insects and bees, essential for our ecosystem . Everyone can contribute – even in small ways. The "Flowering Nature Park" project offers the opportunity to create such wonderful biotopes from native wildflowers yourself: beautiful for you – beautiful for nature. So why not combine beauty with purpose? Become a flower sponsor!
Meadow sponsor
Since 2019, our company has supported the initiative of the Black Forest Central-North Nature Park, which is committed to preserving wildflower meadows and thus the habitat of insects. The protection of bees is of particular importance to us.
Getting involved is easy: Basically, almost any green space is suitable for adding a splash of color with flowers. They look especially good in public squares, and company grounds or commercial areas also offer fantastic opportunities. Of course, private gardens are also a great option: The "Blooming Nature Park" project is a wonderful way for children to playfully understand the interconnectedness of nature and become creative little landscape gardeners at the same time. Do you want to make the landscape more colorful and bring the world to life with blooms? Then join in! Because sustainable and insect-friendly practices not only benefit nature but also us humans: Colorful, flower-rich meadows of native wildflowers bring joy and a better quality of life.
Beekeeper Caro Lawson raves about her bees
"Beekeeping means slowing down for me! In spring, the joyful anticipation of discovering that the bees have survived the winter well. In summer, tending to them and experiencing many quiet and calming moments observing them in and around the hive. In autumn, preparing for the cold months and hoping they will enter winter strong and healthy. In winter, smiling as they take advantage of warmer days to fly out for a short time. In between lie many wonderful moments."
Here in the Northern Black Forest, you can not only discover a colorful array of flowers in the many meadows, but you can also take home a result of the busy bees' work – their honey. This is actually "only" a byproduct of their labor. But it gives us wonderful moments of enjoyment and can be used beautifully as a sugar substitute. How about a jar, for example? organic-certified spa park honey from the beautiful spa park in Bad Wildbad? This way, even after your time out with us, your sweet treat will remind you of the colorful flower meadows in the Northern Black Forest.
