Once a year, for a period of three weeks, the district Calw They pedal together. That's when the "City Cycling" campaign Instead, it encourages people to leave their cars at home and use bicycles. Mobility and CO₂-free travel are not mutually exclusive – quite the opposite! E-bikes and bicycles allow us to rediscover many corners of the Black Forest and show us a completely different side, a green side that should last for a long time to come.

Whether on the way to work, shopping or during leisure time – Every kilometer is recordedThe district Calw And we, the Northern Black Forest Tourism GmbH, participated in the campaign for the second time in 2021 and diligently collected cycling kilometers. over 400.000 kilometers have come together.

Every effort is worthwhile.

It's a pleasant summer day, not too hot and not too cold, perfect for a bike ride. As a team, we always use the city cycling challenge as an opportunity to... joint bike ride to film through the Northern Black Forest. As in previous years, we will be accompanied by Bernd Paul, the well-known tour guide from Bad LiebenzellHe is a true one-of-a-kind from the NagoldTal knows every bakery within a 40km radius and always has a witty remark on his lips.

The gear is packed, bikes are chosen, saddles are adjusted, photos are taken, and off we go on our wild ride. Anyone who thinks this will be a relaxing spin is quickly proven wrong. We slowly make our way up the Lengenbach valley. Gravel paths pose no problem until we encounter the first, shall we say, more challenging section. The Lengenbach stream crosses our path with a rocky section. What's no problem for experienced mountain bikers becomes an exciting challenge for the rest – one that is overcome with varying degrees of success, but with plenty of fun.

We continue driving uphill towards Schömberg Upwards we go. Two stops with chilled beers and non-alcoholic drinks are always a welcome treat. With a running start and an extra lap to gain momentum, we head up paths and through meadows in bloom. At the top, the sun finally comes out – here, the world is still alright! Himmelsglück observation tower Schömberg That's our next destination. The route there also takes us over forest floor and roots, which make the bike basket rattle quite a bit. We take some souvenir photos before continuing through the village. Here we split up – the fearless ones ride down the toboggan run while the rest of us take the fantastic descent into the woods! We meet up again, all safe and sound, and can now cycle for miles to... Unterreichenbach Let it roll. The wind blows around our ears, the gravel crunches under the wheels – why can't we always just go downhill?!

Via the <strong>integrated datalog</strong> the measuring values can be stored on the humimeter RH5 paper moisture meter and additional data can be added. You also have the possibility to use the Autolog function. This function automatically saves measuring values in adjustable time intervals. Nagoldvalley cycle path We're going to... MonbachtalThe reins are tightened again and we start climbing. At the campsite, we cross the ravine and struggle to navigate the soggy ground. Anyone who gets off their bike here won't be getting back on anytime soon! We practically plow up the hill, cheering each other on, and finally we all reach the top.

The eagerly awaited stop is drawing ever closer. A highlight we've all been looking forward to since the start. Hungry and exhausted (more or less), we sit on the terrace of the restaurant at the golf course in Unterhaugstett and toast with currant juice spritzer and shandy. Sausage salad, burgers, schnitzel, and farmer's salad soon arrive. We chat, laugh, and talk about this and that before getting back in the saddle.

One last burst of concentration for the final descent. One last time, it's downhill at high speed. NagoldtalThe basket rattles, the gravel crunches, and the wind does the rest – a fine end to this year's City Cycling Team Tour!
