On these trails, the landscape isn't always the same; instead, it leads through water-filled gorges along enchanting paths over roots and rocks. Depending on the children's ages, these trails can be completed in a short one to three hours or as longer hikes. Children need time to discover all the little things along the way. However, depending on the weather and time of year, the trails in the gorges can be slippery in places, especially on the steep slopes. Discover fascinating rock formations like the Lützenkrokodil in the Lützenschlucht gorge, created by the alternating hard and soft layers of Bunter sandstone. What do you need for hiking with children? Good footwear, sufficient stamina, sure-footedness, and a head for heights are essential. Don't forget delicious food and plenty to drink. We also strongly recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen in case of strong sunlight. Please note that strollers are not permitted in the gorges.
